Thanks to a series of strange coincidences, an idle good-for-nothing acquires a reputation as a great soothsayer and even finds the thieves who have stolen the king’s treasure chist. Overcome with joy, His Majesty makes the lazy fellow his chief minister, because “once upon a time, that’s how ministers were made.”
