Fondas Ladis’ book of poetry “Routes Through Athens”, set to music by composer Christos Nikolopoulos, and performed at the Lyrical Theatre (Lyriki Skini) a few years ago, is now available in five languages in a deluxe edition.

Photographs by Anna Wich and other well-known photographers as well as short informational texts about sixteen sites in the Athens historical city centre accompany the poems. Published by “Mnimes” Publications, these poetic routes are available in Greek (forth edition), English, French, Spanish and Chinese.

The work was translated from Greek into English by translator Thalia Bisticas, into French by the author Lefki Molfesi- with the contribution of Anne-Fleur Clement in the short texts – and into Spanish by Nina Anghelidi, translator of works by Borges and Elytis. The artistic layout was done by Xanthippe Micha Bania.

This publication is obviously of particular interest now that thousands of visitors from every corner of the world -from the ordinary turists to the high-ranking politicians- flock to the Greek capital.
