The story of Greeks in Hollywood during the silent – and so very turbulent – era of American movies reads like a fairy tale. This is not only due to the heretofore unknown details of the life and work of dozens of Greek expats in the 1910s and 1920s in the American movie industry, but also to the manner in which these data was collected.
